The selection process for UPSC PA is divided in three phases
Written Examination – This stage filters candidates based on their theoretical knowledge. This assesses the candidate’s general awareness, understanding of the English language, quantitative aptitude, and other subjects.
Skill Test- This is to evaluate the stenography and typing skills of the candidates. In this test candidates must transcribe a dictated passage within a set time limit.
