Candidates can register themselves from that day onwards until March 29th. The Indian Staff Selection Commission conducts an examination in various fields – known as the JE – Junior Engineer Test or SSC JE – that satisfies eligible candidates who wish to apply for junior engineer positions within different government departments, authorities, and ministries through competitive tests.

SSC JE Vacancy 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education qualification

Age limit

The age limit is prominently featured in the SSC JE 2024 notification and clearly stated. The maximum age varies for specific jobs and organizations, ranging from 27 to 32 years. Reserved categories such as SC/ST are granted a relaxation of up to five years, while OBC candidates receive three-year leniency, and PwD applicants can avail themselves of a ten-year extension based on their eligibility criteria. Additionally, ESM personnel can benefit from relaxed regulations with a mandatory military service deduction of three years.

Application process of SSC JE Vacancy 2024

1. Do open ssc.gov.in, the official website of SSC.
2. You can access the registration link here and click for further instructions.
3. Choose either the “Register” or “New User” link.
4. Type your private details, including name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number and email address among others while filling out the SSC JE application form.
5. Complete the submission of your application for SSC JE 2024 by clicking on the Submit button. Prior to doing so, kindly verify all entries made by you. A unique registration ID and a password or date of birth will be provided to each candidate upon registration completion.
6. It is now necessary for individuals to scan and upload photographs and signatures in the appropriate size.
7. To finish the second section of the SSC JE-2024 registration form, use your registered login credentials to log in.
8. Ensure that the application form is completed and reviewed beforehand, as it will not be amendable after submission.
9. Once you have reviewed the entire SSC JE application form for 2024, tap on the Final Submit button and proceed to pay the required application fees.
10. Attempt to obtain one or two printouts by accessing the internet.

SSC JE Recruitment Admit card download 2024

The SSC JE 2024 exam has been scheduled for this June. Hence, the admissions card is likely to be out on the 4th week of May 2024. Follow the below steps to download the admit card.

Step 1: Go to the website ssc.nic.in’s homepage as your first step.

Step 2: Click on the SSC JE Admit Card tab to visit it.

Step 3: Click on the button that corresponds to your regional website link.

Step 4: Enter the necessary login details.

Exam pattern  SSC Junior  engineer 2024

Comprehensive details about the exam pattern for SSC JE 2024 will be included in the official notification released by SSC. The first paper is composed of a set of objective questions where one point is given for every correct answer, and a deduction of 0.25 marks are applied to incorrect responses. For each accurate response, points will be granted while every wrong answer incurs a penalty of 0.25 points deducted from your score. With exactly two hours allotted as total duration of Paper 1, it carries a weightage worth exactly 200 marks. On the other hand, The second paper under SCC JE test consists mostly on descriptive questions rather than multiple choice queries like its former counterpart.
