SSB Odisha Recruitment 2024 Overview:

Applications for the positions of Junior Assistants (Group C, Level 4), PETs (Group B, Level 9), and Laboratory Assistant-Cum-Storekeepers (Group B, Level 9) in Government Degree Colleges of Odisha are being accepted online by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha in accordance with ORSP Rules, 2017.
Candidates can apply for the post before 15 April, 2024. The mode of application is completely online.

As per the notification issued by SSB Odisha, there are openings for a variety of non-teaching roles in government degree colleges. A total of 101 vacancies are out in different branches. Reservation will be given to the reserved categories according to the norms of the SSB Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria for SSB Odisha Recruitment 2024 Aspirants:

To apply for the post of SSB Odisha Junior Assistant, PET, Laboratory Assistant-cum-Store Keeper, the applicant should have a specific educational qualifications and age limit which are discussed below.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

● Junior Assistant – A candidate must possess a three year degree in arts, science, or commerce, or a qualification that is equal to a graduation and have a basic knowledge of computer and information technology applications.
● Physical Education Teacher – A Bachelor of Arts with a Certificate in Physical Education (B.A.C.P.Ed.) or a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) The applicant must be in good physical and mental health, free from any physical flaw.
● Laboratory Assistant-cum-Store Keeper – A bachelor’s degree with honors in the relevant practical subjects – physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, anthropology, education, geography, geology, home science, and psychology must be possessed by the candidate.

AGE LIMIT:

● The age will be calculated as on 1 January, 2024.
● The applicant’s date of birth must fall between 2 January, 1986 to 1 January, 2003.
● Minimum age – 18 years
● Maximum age – 38 years
● Upper age relaxation for reserved categories will be given
● SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-servicemen – 43 years
● PwD – 48 years

Selection Procedure for SSB Odisha Hiring 2024:

A specified selection procedure will be followed as described below, selection will be based into different stages as per the categories to select individuals for hiring into the positions.
● Junior Assistant – The selection will be done in 2 stages:
Written Test – 200 Marks
Skill Test – 50 Marks
TOTAL – 250 Marks

Exam Pattern:

● The computer skill Test will be held in the following field:
1) WINDOWS Operating system
2) MS Word
3) MS Power Point
4) MS Excel
5) MS Access

● P.E.T and Laboratory-cum-Store keeper – The only stage is written test
● The written exam will consist of 150 full marks, with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered.
● The exam will last for two hours total.
● There will be one hundred questions, each with an equal weight.
● There will be 1.5 marks given for each correct response, there will be 0.5 marks deducted for each incorrect response.

● The candidate must read the comprehensive INSTRUCTIONS before completing the online application.
