Staff Nurse

• Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing/General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from the institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; registered with the Meghalaya Nursing Council.

• Age: Not less than 18 and not more than 32 years (Ages are relaxable by 10 years for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste candidates of Meghalaya).

• Physical Fitness: Candidates may be required to qualify a Physical Fitness Test and produce a Medical Fitness certificate from a recognized registered Medical practitioner.

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)

• Qualification: Auxiliary Nurse & Midwifery Certificate from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and registered under the Meghalaya Nursing.

• Age Limit: 18 to 32 years (relaxable by 10 years for Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes of Meghalaya).

• Physical Fitness: Candidates may have to successfully pass the physical fitness test and produce a medical fitness certificate from a recognized medical practitioner.

It has the following two stages:

Syllabus for the Written Examination

• Medical & Surgical Nursing

• Mental Health Nursing: 20 marks

• Community Health Nursing: 20 marks

Mode of Examination

• The written examination is a pen and paper-based test.

• Answers are to be given on the specially designed machine gradable OMR sheet using a black ballpoint pen only.

Pattern of the Examination

• The total marks for the written examination is 100.

• It is a multiple choice question.

• One mark for each question.

• No negative marks will be for trying the questions.

Medium of the Question Papers

The mode of examination will be in the written medium.

Duration of the Examination

• The duration for the examination will be 2 hours.
